WOMAN KILLED IN JERSEY CITY IN EARLY MORNING CRASH
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez released the following information:
On Saturday, January 27, 2018, at approximately 3:00 a.m., a fatal crash occurred in the area of Newark Avenue and 7th Street in Jersey City. Responding Jersey City Police Officers found a female victim with apparent injuries from the crash.
The victim was identified as Khalla Nguyen, age 24, of Jersey City. She was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 3:30 a.m. The victim was the backseat passenger of the crashed vehicle, a 2000 Honda Accord.
The initial investigation showed that the car was travelling east on Newark Avenue when it made contact with a metal guardrail. The car came to a stop in the middle of Newark Avenue, near 7th Street.
The Hudson County Regional Fatal Collision Unit is investigating this crash and the role of the other occupants of the crashed vehicle.
