Secaucus Man Charged With Sex Crimes On Juvenile

SECAUCUS MAN CHARGED WITH SEX CRIMES ON JUVENILE 

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

On Monday, October 24, 2023, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Anyelo Jimenez-Marte, age 30, of Secaucus, on charges relating to sex crimes committed on a juvenile female. The crimes occurred in a Secaucus apartment on various dates in 2022 and 2023 when the victim was between 14 and 15 years old. The victim is known to the defendant.

Jimenez-Marte is charged with Sexual Assault in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(4), a second-degree crime and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1), a third-degree crime. He is being detained at the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance. The State has filed a motion for detention in this matter, which is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2023.

Prosecutor Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit and Secaucus Police Department with the investigation and arrest.
