PEDESTRIAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN JERSEY CITY HIT-AND-RUN COLLISION

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

At approximately 4:35 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a pedestrian struck at the Griffith Street and Sherman Avenue intersection. Responding officers found a 36-year-old Jersey City man with serious injuries. He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition. The striking vehicle did not remain at the scene.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests have been made at this time.
