JERSEY CITY MAN ARRESTED ON SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES OF 28-YEAR-OLD JERSEY CITY WOMAN
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:
On Tuesday, September 15, 2020, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Bili Crisostomo-Hernandez, age 23, of Jersey City, on charges that he sexually assaulted a 28-year-old female who was walking in the area of Ogden Avenue and South Street in Jersey City at approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020.
Crisostomo-Hernandez has been charged with Sexual Assault in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(1), a second-degree crime, Criminal Sexual Contact in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3B, a fourth-degree crime; Hindering in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:29-3b(4), a third-degree crime; and Providing False Statements in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:28-2a, a fourth-degree crime. Crisostomo-Hernandez was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit just after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday without incident.
The Prosecutor’s Office has filed a detention motion, which is scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2020.
Prosecutor Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit for the investigation and arrest.
