Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez released the following information:

On Saturday, March 26, 2016, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified that the lifeless body of an African American female was found by a Jetro Cash and Carry Employee in the area of 1 Amity Street in Jersey City. The female was subsequently identified as Virginia “Polly” Wilson, age 73, of Jersey City. The victim suffered multiple injuries and the matter is being actively investigated by the Homicide Unit of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
