HOMICIDE UNIT INVESTIGATES DEATH OF 60-YEAR-OLD JERSEY CITY MAN

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

On April 6, 2019, shortly after 1:30 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department received a report of an unresponsive male at 112 Wilkinson Avenue in Jersey City. Responding Jersey City Police Officers found an unresponsive male inside that location with apparent head injuries.

The male, later identified as Gregory Harvey, age 60, of Jersey City, was pronounced dead at approximately 2:05 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending an investigation by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time.
