Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez released the following information pertaining to the fatal shooting in Jersey City on October 25, 2015. No additional information is available at this time.

Location: Grand Street and Communipaw Avenue, Jersey City, NJ
Type of Weapon(s): firearm(s)
Victim: Nyheem McKinney, age 20, of Jersey City, New Jersey

Jersey City Police were dispatched to the area of Grand Street and Communipaw Avenue, Jersey City, NJ, on a report of shots fired. The victim, Nyheem McKinney, was found in front of 735 Grand Avenue with apparent gunshot wounds to various parts of his body. He was pronounced dead at the Jersey City Medical Center at approximately 11:40 p.m.

No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide. A motive has not been identified.
