DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS CLINIC TO BE HELD IN UNION CITY ON THURSDAY, MARCH 9

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has announced that the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor and Union City Mayor Brian Stack are hosting a free Domestic Violence Awareness Clinic for all members of the community on Thursday, March 9, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The informational session is being presented by the Prosecutor’s Office in collaboration with Women Rising Inc., a community-based organization that has been advocating for women and their families in Hudson County for 110 years.

This sensitive subject material involving issues of violence and abuse of adults and children is designed for hairdressers, but it is also educational for family members and friends of potential victims of violence, and for the general population. Presenters will focus on topics such as Recognizing Signs of Abuse and will teach participants to Be Prepared, Be Trained and Know Who to Call.

The workshop will be held in the William V. Musto Cultural Center located at 420 15th Street in Union City. The workshop is free and all residents are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
