CHILD DIES FROM FALL

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez stated that shortly after 2:30 pm today, January 30, 2016, Jersey City Police  was dispatched to 700 Newark Avenue in Jersey City on a report of a child who fell out of the window. According to the preliminary investigation, the four year-old male fell out of a fifth-story window and was found in the parking lot. The child was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 3:00 pm. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is investigating the death, which at this point appears to be accidental.
