HUDSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE HOMICIDE UNIT INVESTIGATES FATAL SHOOTING OF 15-YEAR-OLD JUVENILE IN JERSEY CITY

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

On Saturday, February 12, 2022, shortly after 8:20 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of 112 Myrtle Avenue on a report of shots fired. The responding officers found a male victim outside that location with an apparent gunshot wound to the torso.

The injured male, later identified as Devin Bryant, age 15, of Jersey City, was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at approximately 9:10 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. No arrests have been made at this time.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.
