VIOLENT CRIMES TASK FORCE REMOVES ANOTHER ILLEGAL FIREARM FROM THE STREETS OF JERSEY CITY

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

On September 15, 2016, the Jersey City Violent Crimes Task Force discovered an illegal firearm while patrolling in the area of Clinton Avenue in Jersey City. The weapon was found to be loaded with live ammunition.

The Jersey City Violent Crimes Task Force is an on-going cooperative initiative designed to combat violence and take illegal firearms off the streets of Jersey City. The Task Force consists of Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Detectives, Jersey City Police Officers and Hudson County Sheriff’s Officers.

This marks the third night this week that the Task Force has removed illegal firearms from the streets of Jersey City.
