Union City Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography


UNION CITY MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

On Monday, November 23, 2020, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Felix Martinez, age 45, of Union City, on charges that he possessed more than 1,000 images of child pornography on his cell phone.

Martinez has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Possession of Child Pornography in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)(5)(b)(ii), a second-degree crime. Martinez was arrested at his home in Union City just before 9:00 a.m. Monday after a court-authorized search warrant for the residence was executed. The arrest followed an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit following cyber tips and information received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Prosecutor Suarez credited the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit for the investigation and arrest.
