THIRD MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH JUNE HOMICIDE IN JERSEY CITY

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

A third man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Kyle Howard in Jersey City on June 12, 2022.

Dahmar Robinson, 22, of Newark, is charged with Murder in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a, Conspiracy to Commit Murder in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:5-2a(1)/2C:11-3a, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5b, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose in violation of N.J.S.A. 2c:39-4a, and Receiving Stolen Property in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-7. He was arrested on Monday, October 17, 2022 at the Morris County Correctional Facility, where he was being held on unrelated charges.

Two codefendants, Quadre Domnie, 22, of Jersey City, and Jekhi Wade, 19, of North Plainfield, were arrested on Monday, July 25, 2022 and are being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On Sunday, June 12, 2022, at approximately 11:15 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department received a report of shots fired in the area Forrest Street and Martin Luther King Drive. An injured male victim of the shooting – later identified as Kyle Howard, 34, of Newark, was privately transported to Jersey City Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at approximately 12:45 a.m. on June 13, 2022. The above charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. R.P.C.3.6(b)(6)
