Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

On June 1, 2017, following a brief investigation, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Narcotics Task Force arrested a California man for the possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and money laundering in Union City.

Roberto Castillo, age 38, of Chula Vista, California, was arrested at approximately 6:40 p.m. after a search of his vehicle and a temporary residence in Union City led to the recovery of approximately 400 grams of cocaine and more than $47,000 in United States currency. The street value of the total quantity of narcotics seized is approximately $20,000.

In addition to the NTF Officers, Prosecutor Esther Suarez credited the Jersey City Police Department and Hudson County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit for assisting with the arrest.
