Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Unit arrested a Jersey City 9-1-1 dispatcher for a computer crime.

Rose Davis, 58, of Jersey City, is charged with one count of Computer Criminal Activity in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-50e, a crime of the second degree. She was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and released pending her first court appearance, which is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, December 7, 2023.

An investigation conducted with the assistance of the Jersey City Special Investigations Unit found that on July 15, 2023, Davis used her position as a Telecommunications Supervisor to obtain records and personal identifying information which she was not authorized to keep for her own records.

The above charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. R.P.C.3.6(b)(6)
