HUDSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE HOMICIDE UNIT INVESTIGATING FATALITY IN JERSEY CITY

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

On Friday, November 19, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of Oxford and West Side avenues in Jersey City on a report of an injured male. The responding Police Officers found an injured male victim at 562 West Side Avenue.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 6:10 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and his identity is unknown at this time.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time.
