DEATH OF 27-YEAR-OLD JERSEY CITY WOMAN UNDER INVESTIGATION

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating the death of a 27-year-old Jersey City woman who was found deceased in her  Woodlawn Avenue apartment in Jersey City.

On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at approximately 2:30 p.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to a report of a deceased female at 131 Woodlawn Avenue in Jersey City. Responding officers found a lifeless 27-year-old woman – later identified as Diamond Davila – who was pronounced deceased at 3:08 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests have been made at this time.
