21-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Jersey City Park


21-YEAR-OLD MAN KILLED IN FATAL SHOOTING IN FERRIS TRIANGLE PARK IN JERSEY CITY

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating the death of a 21-year-old Jersey City man who was fatally shot Wednesday evening in Ferris Triangle Park near Rose and Cator Avenues and Old Bergen Road in Jersey City.

On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at approximately 8:22 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department responded to a call of shots fired at Ferris Triangle Park. Responding officers found a male gunshot victim – later identified as Alshaquir Duval – in front of 182 Cator Avenue. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene at 8:32 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests have been made at this time.
